1. This Sunday's service is titled "Windows and Doors" and will be led by Jim Wyckoff and Misty Bloom. Summary: "Jim and Misty will lead a service of pictures, poetry and music. The theme is a metaphor for the life we lead mostly as observers, but just now and then as active participants in the activities and causes we hold dear. This will also be an opportunity to focus on being fully present in the "now" and actively visualizing the future you wish to attract. This will be a time for quiet reflection after the hectic holiday season."
2. The January SCUU letter is available online now at:http://www.scuu.org/newsletters.htmlThanks to Marida and Kathleen for pulling it together!
3. From the Landscape Committee:For those who have live Christmas trees, please help Sugarloaf House to pass inspection by donating your evergreen boughs to SCUU. We need them to fill the "flower boxes" along the edge of the new deck.Rather than recycling your tree through the County composting operation, please cut the boughs off the tree and either drop them at Sugarloaf House (at the edge of the parking lot would be fine), or else bring them with you to church on Sunday, December 31st, and Tom Cooke will transport them to the property. Then Tom will stick them into the boxes, prior to next week's scheduled inspections. This is just a temporary filling for the boxes; a permanent solution will be carefully considered and presented soon to you. But for now, we need lots of evergreen boughs, and your used Christmas trees are an excellent source. When we're finished using the boughs, they'll be composted on the property. Please don't donate anything after Monday morning, New Year's Day. Thanks for your help with this,
-- Your Landscape Committee

SCUU calendar: Please Note: the SCUU calendar link is super long and not suitable for printing. There is an attempt to show the SCUU Calendar link in the digest. However if you look at the actual link, the text you type into your browser, you may hurt your eyes or become confused. Hence this rather long readable note is the link to the SCUU Calendar
