GUESS WHO’S COMING TO DINNER? (EVERYONE!---AND WE HAVE NO FOOD!)

The shelter in Rockville is looking for individuals and adults to provide meals. I told them I would pass this info along. Anybody want to sign up for a night?

It is always a challenge to find meals for the residents of our two shelters, the Community Based Shelter and Sophia House, located on Wilkins Avenue in Rockville, during the summer months when so many of our loyal volunteers are vacationing. Our needs run the gamut from a delivery of 25 bag lunches to a complete meal for 30 – 35. If an entire dinner sounds too imposing, how about helping us with just the side dishes or maybe just the main dish? You may stay to serve or simply drop off your dishes. This is an excellent opportunity for students to receive community service credit while gaining an appreciation for just how blessed their own lives have been.

lunch bags for Monday – Friday should be delivered anytime the day before as they are needed by 7am the day listed)
