SCUU.ORG has Technical Difficulties and is Down

Hopefully we can get the site back online soon.

For visitors you may visit our visitor web page --> http://scuu.org/visitors/

Please note: The server is setup to show the "splat" page and not go to a backup web site so that the techies at Entirely Digital can see the issue and resolve it. If we bypass the error in the case of the system being down they can not debug or know what the issue is... Hence the splat page shows all the techie information of the error. The last error during the Great Web Crash of November 2013 resulted in making this change to facilitate resolving the issue. Plus the bypass can cause errors of its own.

The tech representative said they are aware of the problem. It is affecting many customers. We share a server with up to 1300 customers however I think we "only" share with 100 ish customers on our current server based on a conversation I had in 2013.

So the Tech representative says they are aware and they are working on the issue. My guess is that it is migration related.

quite the pain.

This is the first time since November 2013 we've had to make this announcement.

I am arranging my altar to the tech gods. Hopefully that will help too ... I've considered lighting incense.

It is the nature of the cloud beast that we don't have complete control over our environment. There are setting to the server that we are not privy to. Entirely Digital holds the keys to control of the servers.

Nevertheless, quite the pain.
